The NICKEFFECT project showcased its innovative advancements in sustainable materials at SEMICON Europa 2025, which was held in Munich, Germany, from 18–21 November.
The project partner Singulus Technologies served as the key representative, using their presence at Stand B1356 (Hall B1) to highlight the critical work being undertaken within the NICKEFFECT consortium.

In alignment with the event’s theme, “Global Collaborations for European Economic Resilience”, the NICKEFFECT exhibition focused on delivering technological innovation whilst championing environmental sustainability.
A key feature at the Singulus stand was the dissemination of the latest results on Platinum (Pt)-free, non-volatile MRAM stacks developed within the NICKEFFECT project. These results are aligned with the project’s mission to reduce Europe’s reliance on costly and critical raw materials by developing novel, high-efficiency, Ni-based coating solutions.
Visitors were able to gain direct insights into this groundbreaking work through a dedicated presentation made by Matthias Landmann, Product Manager at Singulus Technologies AG. Matthias shared key NICKEFFECT results as part of a promotional film shown at the Singulus stand. The presentation focused on the innovative process development for these new materials and their pivotal role in building a more sustainable and resilient semiconductor value chain.

The engagement at the stand and the sharing of project results contributed to the broader discussions at SEMICON Europa!
