NICKEFFECT Project: One Year of Achievements and Future Prospects

The eagerly anticipated third consortium meeting of the NICKEFFECT project, signifying the culmination of one year of dedicated work, took place on June 20th, 2023, in Kahl am Main, Germany. The meeting was meticulously organized in a hybrid format, allowing participants the flexibility to attend either in person at the esteemed premises of Singulus Technologies or virtually.   During the meeting, the NICKEFFECT consortium seized the opportunity to showcase the notable progress achieved in each work package. Furthermore, engaging discussions were held to deliberate upon the future steps and strategic direction of the project. NICKEFFECT at the 2023 nanoSAFE Conference

The 8th International Conference on Health and Safety Issues for a socially responsible approach to nanomaterials, known as nanoSAFE, took place in Grenoble, France from June 5th to 9th, 2023. This biennial conference has been a key platform for researchers and experts to share the latest findings on health and safety concerns related to nanomaterials. However, this year's event is special as it combines forces with the NanoSafety Cluster, opening up new opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.   Among the notable participants at the conference were representatives from the NICKEFFECT project, including researchers from IRES (Institute of Research and Engineering of Surfaces) and CEA (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives). On May 4th 2023, the NOUVEAU and NICKEFFECT projects, two initiatives that are leading examples of innovation and research in sustainable materials with a focus on industrial applications, hosted a joint webinar. The webinar was a unique opportunity for the attendees to gain insights into the two projects, their goals and the impact they aim to achieve with their collaboration.
